MY FAVORITE HIGHLIGHTS FROM CFW SS13

DAVID ANDERSEN

He did it again -every year, the David Andersen shows at Copenhagen Fashion Week keep surprising the critics and fashion followers, with girls modeling the menswear collection, or the stunning performers that give every show a different, almost engaging feeling. The shoes you see on the runway is a collection he made in collaboration with Bianco Footwear. David Andersen is absolutely  my favorite danish designer. HENRIK VIBSKOV

Words by Didder Rønlund I fell head over heels for all Henrik Vibskov’s quirks and curious ideas – indeed, for the entire energy and atmosphere of the collection. And yet again, I fell for the man himself, and his stone face as he shuffled in, and took his bow. That is, what it is called, when the designers enter the podium, after the finale, and receive their applause. I saw men in many kinds of trousers and even more colours, girls who did not hold back, and everyone wearing the same odd shoes. Some of Vibskov’s distinctive hats, with a tall, round crown, actually cheered you up. Use them with anything, even with a nice fur coat, if you have one. A special addition to this – plus vests, jackets, backpacks, shirts, dresses and blouses in provocative congestion – was Henrik’s sharp eye for commercial clothing, for stores and target groups, who neither want to own tailor-made suits or ties. You need a formidable talent to contain all that. And Henrik Vibskov has that talent  ❤❤❤

Sophia brought a bit of edge to the premiere decked out in this ivory Jay tuxedo blazer with black lapels by IRO, layered over a loose Enza Costa white tank and black Helmut Lang leather leggings. A black quilted Chanel clutch and matching Christian Louboutin Pigalle pumps completed her look  – perfect look for saturday night

Sophia Bush

LOOK OF THE DAY: WATER

Kate’s fun palm printed dress comes from the affordable H&M for Water collection, which donates part of each sale to WaterAid. The fashion maven accessorized with an Alexander Wang tote, a pair of Ray-Ban aviators, and See by Chloe wedge sandals – love this summer look  ❤❤❤

LOOK OF THE DAY: MIRANDA IN ISABEL MARANT HIGH TOPS IN NEW YORK

Miranda kerr can do no wrong in the off-duty style stakes and her latest stripy tee and skinny jeans combo was effortless to a T. The model gained extra style  by adding those Isabel Marant high tops. Top marks!  ❤❤❤

LOOK OF THE DAY: APETITE

It may feel like a thousand degrees in New York City, but that hasn’t stopped the Australian model Jessica Hart from layering up. She looked miles away from her typical Victoria’s Secret attire in a navy cardigan worn over a light blue oxford shirt while out braving the heatwave. Her prim oxford was tucked into a blue-and-pink maxi skirt, showcasing the smocking detail. Hart finished off her look with a waitlist-worthy Celine satchel and oversized black sunnies  ❤❤❤

I’M YOUR MAN…

Coco Chanel’s creative talent turned the tailleur into one of the most iconic feminine styles; Yves Saint Laurent relaunched in the ’60s with a men’s-style revisitation choosing a tuxedo-cut suit. Today the men’s-style pantsuit becomes monochrome to recall the iconic working girls of the ‘80s  ❤❤❤

If you want a lover I’ll do anything you ask me to do. And if you want another kind of love I’ll wear a mask for you. If you want a partner take my hand I’m your man. If you want a boxer I will step into the ring for you. And if you want a doctor I’ll examine every inch of you. Or if you want to take me for a ride you know you can I’m your man.Lyrics by Leonard Cohen
